Shadow's run Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon
A soft rich balanced blend of blackcurrant, red cherry and blood plum fruit flavours, complemented by a milk chocolate, cherry and cream mid palate.

A soft rich balanced blend of blackcurrant, red cherry and plum flavours, complemented by a milk chocolate laced strawberry and raspberry mid palate. This ripe, juicy and elegant blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon finishes with vibrant youthful tannins, leaving the palate clean, refreshed and looking for the next sip.
The blend is comprised of 68% Shiraz, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% other varieties. 2013 had a warm ripening season, with harvest occurring between mid February and end of March. This gave the resulting wines a powerful dark rich fruit flavour profile and ripe soft tannins. Timing of the harvest period for both varieties was slightly earlier than most years, with the fruit enjoying these warm temperatures which allowed the development of powerful but fresh flavours that balance the wines richness and intensity. Each vineyard batch was open fermented for 7 days on skins with reduced pump-overs to accentuate the fruit flavours in the wine. The wine was then pressed off to complete fermentation in tank or old oak barrels. Most batches spend part of their maturation time in old French and American oak barrels.

This wine has been crafted for enjoyment now and will also mature over the next 2 – 3 years under good cellaring conditions.
