The Barefoot Review
The Barefoot Review is an online media organisation, specialising in cultural reviews of the arts and culinary industries. The writers each have a wealth of experience and background in their specific field and aim to provide honest and constructive criticism.
The Barefoot Review provides information about ‘what’s on’ in Adelaide, and then aims to attend as many performances, and venues as possible to help their readership make an informed decision about where they spend their entertainment dollar.
The Barefoot Review publishes food reviews of Adelaide restaurants and cafes, reviews of theatre and dance performances and critiques of musical performances from Womad to Soundwave and State Opera to the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. From time to time Barefoot also posts editorial news stories about theatre, music and dance as well as interviews with art practitioners and photography from arts events and concerts.
The Barefoot Review team consists of Creative Director and Editor, Paul Rodda – who has qualifications in business, design, drama and writing; Sub-editor, Nicole Russo, and regular reviewers David Grybowski, Kym Clayton and Martin Christmas; who write for the arts and Darren Richards, reviewer of restaurants and cafes. Many of The Barefoot Review’s writers are also proud members of the Adelaide Critics Circle.
